Anyone use Federal Speed Shok Steel shells? Any opinions either way?
I'm considering buying a case because the price is right, but don't want to end up with a case of poor perforance shells either.

I'm considering buying a case because the price is right, but don't want to end up with a case of poor perforance shells either.
We did some pattern testing with them last year, and we were not very impressed. We basically shot every shell that someone we hunted with had shot the year before and tested them.
The federal ultra shock was pretty good though. I have also been impressed with remmington nitro steel and sportsman.
Normally in late July alot of the retailers run real good waterfowl sales. The best deals I normally find are from Macks PW, and Presley's Outdoors near Peoria. They are normally unbeatable deals.

love em. bought some to try out since the price was right. great results. i shoot the 3 inch bbs. switched to them from a 3.5 bb kents and have not had any complaints. i shoot mostly geese and they work great. been through 3 cases now.
