I was up for another fishin trip with my buddy from Alabama. The same guy I fished the... Well, good to be back with all my fellow Sillinoisians! I was up for another fishin trip with my buddy from Alabama. The same guy I fished the Terrapin Creek with in Al, this past Spring. This time we decided to head into Missouri and the Eleven Point River. What a great trip! Rainbow trout and feisty smallmouths were abundant, and people weren't. We floated and fished from Tuesday last week til Friday. Then we were both home with the fams for the long weekend. (We plan to try to make everyone happy) LOL. BUT I disconnected for a week. No internet!!! OMG you say... it can't be done... Who will monitor my facebook page? What about my fantasy draft? The e-mails will pile up... SILO might just explode!!! But guess what? It didn't. I might suggest that some of you may need to disconnect from the WWW for at least a weekend. I know most all of you on here remember life before idiot boxes and cell phones. (That I couldn't get away from darnit) Well come some Friday shut it down and vow that you won't log on for at least the weekend. I promise it will all still be there when you get back. Todays world is rife with instant gratification. And it is great that we have the web as a resource, but step away occasionally... and ... (yep you guessed it) GO OUTSIDE!!!
