Seems to me that there are several SILO members that are wanting to get started in Bowfishing,:D but are not sure what they need or where to start:confused:......Bowfisher to the rescue. :) I would be glad to come 165 miles down to New Athens and put on a Bowfishing 101 seminar.
We would need somewhere where we could safely shoot into the water and somewhere I can give a seminar that last about an hour. I will bring some bows that you can try to see if you like compound vs recurve, and spinner vs retriever reels. You wouldn't buy a pair of shoes without trying them on first and I hate to see you good folks spending hard earned $$$ on bowfishing stuff that doesn't work. I don't sell any bowfishing stuff or am on any Pro Staff. I just tell you what works from my experience. Some bowfishing stuff works great in Texas or Florida but doesn't work great in Illinois. I have bought all that stuff for Texas and Florida and I can save you the expense and headaches.
What I want from you is...I would like at least 5 or 6 interested SILO members to attend. There are several Bowfishing events coming up and I can help you get ready. I want somebody to drag a grill out and cook me a couple of brats or polish sausage, I get pretty hungry after driving from Clinton, IL. to New Athens.
I have both the first and second weekend in April available, either Saturday or Sunday. I am pretty flexable on time. What ever works best for you SILO members.
Anyone interested??
