We do a lot of camping in Il. This Memorial Day weekend I would like to camp somewhere near Crab Orchard. I have been around there many times but never camped. We have a trailer and would like to go somewhere that takes reservations because it is a 2 1/2 hour drive from my location. So any help would be greatly appreciated. We have not fished this lake yet so we are hoping to try it out. Thanks everyone.

I grew up camping at Crab orchard campground when it was nice, but I personally would not camp at crab campground now...........
Ferne is nice like Fun said, one of my fav. places and Rend Lake is nice too....Rend takes reservations....
Memorial Day weekend fills up fast! Last year I think we were at Ferne on Memorail Day weekend and it was FULL!
