I don't know what it is about those thngs but they must be everywhere this year... or maybe I just hadn't noticed them as much in past years.

Good pics, and they are having a good year...they seem to really have flourished thias year, I keep finding them popping up in new locations....

maybe w/ the flower contest you are just looking for flowers and actually "seeing" them...?

There are a ton right now. If you see em real early they are all closed up...

Since I am not a photographer, don't claim to be or pretend to be one I am defenitly not looking for them for the photo contest.

I think it may have something to do with the landscaping and flower garden hobby I have taken on around my house and I just notice them more often.

Then again maybe I took an old mans advice that it's good for the soul to slow down and smell the roses once in a while.

My most recent statement and motto on speed is "if you've had 9 speeding tickets you'll drive slower than a snail too!" <<after having buddies poking fun at me for driving so slow, usually between Carbondale and Murphysboro I'm the guy you'll pass that's doing about 40-45 mph>>
