View Full Version : Sil Snake Out!
gretchensteele 02-14-2009, 12:45 Time to start thinking about some trips to Snake Road..
so check your calendars interested parties and be thinking of some days for just day trips or also for a weekend long adventure. The Pine Hills Campground is great campground .. and makes a nice spot for a jumping off point, as do the sites at Trail of Tears/State Tree Forest Nursery. Love the trail shelters there.
There's super group shelter (day use) at Trail of Tears that could be used for say a Gathering after chasing reptiles.
Lot's of great stuff in the neighborhood, including Deno right across the road and DDave's home away from from not too far away.
So start kicking out some dates/ideas for consideration - Phas ..I'm sure you'd rather a few day adventure, to make your trip down worth while :)
I'm just itching to go looking for all the herps..just itching..:p
not to mention, part of migration time coincides with morel season :) Just be sure it's a shroom when you reach down to snatch it! ROFL
G, I would love to make it down again this year. Might even be able to talk Sandy into it too:)
Sounds fun! I won't throw out any dates, since I'm not sure I'll make it, but, if the dates / weather work out, I just might.
I'd go ..long as It's not during my Turkey Tag..:)
We'll be down SIL way the week of April 5th. Spring break can't come soon enough for this family. Hopefully there's some reptilian discovery to be had that week.
My new Lodge/Cabin/Pole Barn, should be ready in a week or so. Three BR, Kitchen, Bath. Will be available if someone needs a place to stay.
gretchensteele 02-15-2009, 01:30 Oh Boy Deno - now I know where I can run away from home to when my head is about to explode all over the wall...

DetectDave 02-17-2009, 07:31 Does that include complimentary moonbeam floats? If so, I might book ya for a year as it would be cheaper than where I've been hanging out of late..LOL (and your good company would make it all worth while!)
