The only one we found today, but it was worth it. Main beam is broke off at the end, G1 and G2 are the same legnth, the G3 looks like it has a kings crown on it with a hole in the middle, G4 looks like an acorn on the end, and the G5 is only about 1 3/4 long and going right along the main beam.

That is certainly wierd. Nice find. What is the cause for acorns on the tips of antlers. Is it from damage when they are still in velvet ? Or something else?

Acorns are caused by damage sometimes but can be some genetics as well. It is amazing how every antler is different just like people no 2 are exactly the same.

Thats a carzy one, i went for a hour or so on sat. and came up empty handed. Guy i work with found six (five freshies)

Just walked the woods behind my house looking (82nd st. belleville) so its not a huge woods, but it is surrounded by houses and connected to a larger wooded area.

Slipped down a deer trail that was muddy, and saw a buck and a doe running. He had his antlers. I quit after that.
