Or did you use some other program to do the shading around the edges ? BAM 06-08-2007, 14:27 Since I am a retard and can't figure out how to distort my backgrounds, I have to use a program to do it.. I put the flower on spotlight and shaded in the edges. Maybe one of these days I figure it out....and won't have to use a program. Like Huntrz pics are awesome! I love the way the background is so blurry you have no choice but to focus on the subject....... flatlander 06-08-2007, 18:28 Since I am a retard and can't figure out how to distort my backgrounds, I have to use a program to do it.. I love the way the background is so blurry you have no choice but to focus on the subject....... How ever you can get it done. :D gretchensteele 06-10-2007, 15:39 if you want a quick lesson on how to get the backgrounds blurry...let me know, it can be done while you are shooting or using two layers in a photo editing program....I'd be happy to help! huntrz 06-10-2007, 15:51 when shooting macro shots, it always helps if your subject is at least 6-10 inches in front of background, that should help blur the backgrounds, I don't usually use photo editing software to blur, although I do use Corel PhotPaint to sharpen, darken certain areas and resize my photos, I use to use Adobe Photoshop and it was ok, just expensive, but have been using Corel Photopaint for about 7 years now and like the ease of use. BAM 06-12-2007, 14:56 Ok I think I figured it out..We are camping this week again and I had some time to mess with it some......:D Well see what else I run into up there...... http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o122/bambam203/flower1.jpg BAM 06-12-2007, 14:57 I didn't really like Adobe but I do like Corel alot..... gretchensteele 06-12-2007, 18:36 Adobe had an ungodly learning curve...at least for me....I rarely use photoshop...turthfully I hate it. Most of my edits are done in ACDsee...cause I shoot RAW format.....I do use Paint Shop Pro from Corel for some of the graphic design stuff and I really like it much better than any of adobe's products. Good explanation about shooting macros! And I don't usually use the software for blur either...it's too much of a hassle fooling around with layers! ACDSee is running a free beta of their ACDsee pro right now...it's worth a look if for it's organizational capabilities alone.... |
