The "Best" nicknames are the ones that stick. It seems that a fella just can't pick one, it picks him. Or, his friends or family pick it. A fella does not necessarily have to like it either...the best nickname just is. When you see that person, that name comes to mind.

I been called OZ for more than half my life. It just is. It was Ozzy before that, and I didn't choose it, people just chose to call me that. There are other names people choose to call me on occassion, luckily, they don't stick for too long. :D

So if you're trying to come up with a name for yourself, don't, just let it happen. And if you're trying to come up with one for someone else...be patient...it'll appear one day.

My brother's best friend nicknamed me "possum" when I was about 15. He told me, jokingly, that it was because I wasn't good for anything and was kind of shifty.

I've been stuck with 'Buck' forever, could be worse. I have a few friends, PeeDad, Bo-Bo, B-A, Pinecone, and my Dad is a retired oilfield worker that was called Wrencher or Wrench. He was a rig boss that always trained new guys how to wrench rods.
