The idea here is to get outside and take pictures. So no old photos. I can't really enforce that, but I hope we all understand the premise...;)

Take pics of anything from a single flower to a field of em. Wild or in your garden. Weed or orchid.

NEW RULE. You must identify your flower. (or at least ask for help after you post it.) This will help us all be better outdoors people.

The winner of the month will become the judge of the next month.

As for prizes, I'll throw in a hat to the monthly winner. (If anyone out there would like to sponsor a months prize please PM me.)

okay - define professional lol I sell my work, and do weddings, portraits etc..but I feel like I'm far from professional...I just have to keep making money to buy new camera toys! LOL
I have to agreee, the quality of the shots I see here...well (I'm an idiot for swearing)(I'm an idiot for swearing)(I'm an idiot for swearing)(I'm an idiot for swearing) there are some good photographers in this group, professional or amateur...

I have a request ??

How about when a person post's a new entry in the monthly contest they also include in the post what camera was used for the shot.
For that matter we could do the same with the trail cam contest.
I just like to know for GP. :D

Hey I think that's a great idea! That will help us help each other too...if some of us use the same camera we can help each other out...and I'd love to know more about the trail cams! We could even go so far as to include settings, lenses, etc if that wouldn't be too tedious for the non photo bug folks....I'm always looking to learn how to better my photos, and the wildlife shots here are sooo good...not one of my better areas...

I started to come back and edit, saying the same thing about putting it in your signature, but didn't want to be bossy. LOL

mine are all shot with either a Canon digital rebel XT or Xti...I usually keep my 70-300 lens on the XTi and an shorter lens on the XT

I have a Panasonic Lumiz TZ1, 5 mp, 10x optical zoom, and use this camera for everything except the trailcam photos, I have a neat little tripod that works like the old radio antennaes, folds down to about 10" and extends up to 40".
