The border between the central and south zone is interstate 70 across most of the state. It dips down a little bit when you get to the west side of the state. Banner and Sanchris both are public, but they have a permit system that you send in for during the summer. I do believe if the blinds aren't all filled they also do a daily draw. All unoccupied blinds on the Miss and IL river are open if the blind builder doesn't claim them by an hour before shooting. Horseshoe lake in Madison Co is the same way. I haven't heard any good reports lately. If you don't shotgun deer hunt then this weekend would probably be a good time to get an open blind.

Thanks for the info. I hunt Horeshoe quite a bit. Every once in a while we will get into some ducks. If you hunt the feed backs you will kill mostly coots. Ive only hunted the open water once. Seen alot of ducks but didnt get a chance to shoot.
