View Full Version : DIRTY S.O.B.'s
Well my boat go hit lastnite by some lil $#*&@(% punks. They took all my tackle except 3 bags of soft plastics. Sure hope the cops get prints off of the few items they left behind.
AND I HOPE I FIND THEM BEFORE THE COPS DO!!!!!!!!!
P.S.
If anyone hears of any good cheap USED tackle for sale lemme know pls.
DUDE!!! That sucks. You know its someone close by too. See if your local paper will do a story on it. Put a sign in your yard saying you've been robbed of fishing tackle. Maybe some parents will notice something.
Thieves are no good lazy good for nothings. They don't work for their own stuff.
I know if somebody took my tackle they'd have over a grand of stuff, and I know some of you guys have more than that.
From what the cops said this is atleast the 3rd boat that got hit in the past week. So if any of you live in HERRIN >>>>WATCH OUT AN LOCK UR CHIT UP!!!
The cop said he got a few partial prints off a few things they left...OR DROPPED. I hope its enough to get some (I'm an idiot for swearing)(I'm an idiot for swearing)(I'm an idiot for swearing)(I'm an idiot for swearing) scum. And yea i made out a list for my insurance....Its aroun $1000 to 1200.
Oh and i found out my dang insurance guy didn't put the option in my plan to cover fishing stuff. just personal belonging. WTF IS THAT CRAP!
I'm so pissed right now i can't think about nothing else but shooting someone that comes into my yard now. I hope like hell they come back to get what they left cuz they will leave with lead in their ass!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I guess my year of fishing is over until i can scrape up some money to buy a few things, lord knows i can't buy it all back cuz it took me quite a few years to get what i HAD! :(
I went from a good week of fishing to a week of HELL. I will be searching ebay an yard sales from now on til i find the lil bassards.
(I'm an idiot for swearing)(I'm an idiot for swearing)(I'm an idiot for swearing)(I'm an idiot for swearing), sorry to hear that crap happen. If my stuff got jacked I would probably take a camera and set it up infront of my house and have some fishing stuff sitten out near the boat. Like fishing for robbers eh.! If you do scrape some extra money check e-bay for sure. Ive seen some really nice reels orig price 160 to 240 going for 65 up to 145 for a PT Tour reel and couple PT energy baitcasts and some shimanos. There is a guy selling 2 older model curados for 140 both. Seen couple really nice rods also ranging from the same orig price for about 50 to 100 dollars.

How is your fishing stuff not your personal belongings?
Sorry that happened. I've been there before and it makes you really wanna hurt the people that did it. We always had a camp at Prizer Point marina at Lake Barkley, KY when I was growing up. I kept my boat on the dock and never locked my stuff up even though my dad always warned me to. Well, one morning I went down to the boat to fish and everything was gone except for my worm box. Took about a $1,700 hit. My parent's home owners insurance covered it I think. I wasn't the only one that got hit...they got other boats on the dock that night...they probably stole over $25,000 worth of stuff...no one on that dock had their graphs/fish finders that morning. Some even lost their trolling motors! The local cops just blew it off...the perps were never caught.
The painful part is that not all lures are replaceable. I have some lures now that they don't make anymore and likely couldn't be replaced. I also have some that have sentimental value...lures from my deceased grandfather.
Thieves are scum of the earth.

Smokey Mc Pot 06-05-2007, 09:01 those guys are bastards man i never had that happen to me but i would be pissed like joe said not all lures can just be replaced and i would say put some fualty lures and stuff out on the boat with the video camera and see if they come back or better yet hide in the boat and get them when they take it thats a bunch of B.S. all i have to say is give em hell BOOYAH :D
DetectDave 06-05-2007, 12:25 My thought is everyone needs to take that digital camera out now and take pics of all your tackle, depthfinders, etc . It does make it difficult to prove ownership for prosecution unless the stuff is marked. My thought is even though you may not have the items marked, any copper worth his salt can get a confession and make that case anyway. Those prints will help too.
gretchensteele 06-05-2007, 14:14 I agree with taking pics of stuff...and I too would think it falls under personal belongings .....That's why I love my big dogs....they scare the hell out of strangers, and 'round here only a stranger would be dumb enough to rip off Critter....we have friends with an industrial wood chipper....
Hate that you've had such a bad experience, and I can see why you are so mad!
Well they are at it again, I got hit again they took fish finders an screwed up my wiring, Broke rod lockers and all the good stuff. Just warning everyone to look out if your around this area!!!!!!!!!!

Thats just wrong !
Man! I know it doesn't help any but truley sorry to hear this, I really hope YOU catch the %&^%*&^!
DetectDave 10-21-2007, 13:36 I'm thinking it's camera time. This is undoubtedly someone that knows ya. In my experience, unknown suspects rarely repeat the location of their crime. I'm betting you've got a neighborhood kid that is cleaning yer clock here. Any others in the neighborhood get hit?
Birdhunter1 10-21-2007, 15:30 Time to get the claymores out!
lifestudent55 10-21-2007, 15:34 Time to bring the castle doctrine to Illannoys. Teach the little punks what a rice and rock salt mixture feels like.
I hope you catch them too Booyah!
