I received the following story today with attached pictures, can anyone confirm or debunk?

JUST NORTH OF MT. VERNON, IL.

Look at what James Snipe hit with his car on state route 161 east of Iuka road. The lion was still alive but

unable to move, so our neighbor called the Marion County Dog Catcher and they came and put him down.

A land owner had seen this one a week before dragging off a 320 lb steer. His neighbor is an amateur taxidermist

and he's going to stuff him. This one weighed 260 lbs.while most mature male mountain lions weigh

80 to 150 lbs. We had no idea they still roamed around here!

I think this same photo was on here a few months ago and the story was it was killed up in Northern IL or something, I think it was debunk'd because of some of the racks in the back that look like they came off a muley.

Full Draw, I think somebody came by and got that cat. In the duldrums of winter, a fella gets bored and needs a hobby beyond hunting. So, in comes the "Sail Cat". You know, the ones that are kinda flat and solid like a frisbee? You can toss em like a frisbee for hours! :D

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Reminds me of an old saying.....the more you run over a cat, the flatter it gets! :D

I'm tellin you - if one person in Southern Illinois gets a photo of a wild cougar in SI and has the proof to back it- they will be a recognizable person.

If that person is a SILO person and can post it here first (with security controls on the photo as it will be stolen) this site will have thousands of hits to it.

I just got another email this past weekend from a friend showing this cat as being hit by a car near Mt. Vernon. It gets around more now that it's dean than it ever did while alive.
