I know this is a SIO site but MAN Southern IL is just across the river from some killer fishin.I went to Perryville today , to Perry Co. Com. Lake, caught some nice 1.5 - 2.0 lberz. Then headed down the double nickle to Trail of Tears S.P. , hooked some nice black bass and bluegillz. Then we hopped over to Lake Girardeau but it was startin to get mid day and the fish where shuttin down . Its a killer lake though. Gas in Perryville is $2.91 a gal. which is a plus if your plannin a trip there.

headed to Castor River today to catch some Smallies. Its about an Hour away

The lake is near P&G on the right going from Cape...Fished it a few times,but don't do much good.

run across the river once a week for smokes and gas...never have fished over there...will have to give that whirl!
