Yesterday the BAI along with the Indiana DNR had our first annual Lasalle Youth Bowfishing Event. Had a great turn out and had alot of fun! Im sure there are many new bowfishermen in the making now.....and a few that are 100% hooked already! This event was on the state line in In. & Ill. waters and had kids from both states. Started out with a Bowfishing equiptment and safety seminar, followed by some on-water bowfishing range time. Then out to the backwaters for some bowfishing. We returned to have a hot dog BBQ and ethics talk. Nothing more important than getting kids into the outdoor sports. Each kid also got a bowfishing safety DVD from AMS Bowfishing and some BAI stickers made by our member Wayne. We will be holding these throughout the state in the upcoming months.
