I'm afraid so too. I can remember, when i was younger, you used to haveto worry about someone else getting to your trapping spot before you. Now i don't know of another trapper in the area. I will keep doing it though, and hopefully pass it on. Going to check my traps!!!!

Phinsh,

Coons are probably 12-15 dollars tops. That's even stretched and dried. There is definetly no money in it. Coyotes from your country will go probably 10-12 dollars tops and that's put up also.

With the overseas economy in shambles (China and Russia) fur is not their top priority. I have a feeling a $5.00 nose count on coons is what I'm looking for.

coons are bringing $ 5.00 to $8.00 skinned, fleshed, and dried.
muskrats about $3.00 skinned,fleshed,and dried
Lucky to get $10.00 for a coyote
mink i'm not to sure about, but i can find out for you. I do it for the enjoyment, and i like being outside. I have coon hunted and trapped almost all my life, just one of the things i do.:D

Cooner, not to call you out but I would be real careful postin bait that is exposed like that on these public forums. Don't know who might be watchin.
