All I can say is that I am Glad I don't have to choose the winner for November. There has been some great photos posted (some super awesome ones not posted - Gretchen's Editors Choice) and Bigfoot is showing why its so easy to sit in the woods for 5 hours. Sometimes its tough to leave the woods.

Great Photo!

My .50 cal Muzzleloader is loud and heavy but I take it to the woods.
The lag time between shots is long also.

Come on Bam. Pull out the big guns and start shootin.

I might later on in the season....as for now I don't wanna risk the chance of spooking something or not being ready freddy! :D

Bam, if a deer was gonna spook from your camera it would've already spooked from the chili windbreaking. Go on a windy day and they won't even hear your camera much less get spooked from it.

BigFoot, I love the effect of the sun shining through the tree.

Big Foot - Gorgeous work.. now shuffle that off to Mother Earth!!! I 'd bet Lara the editor would love it too!
(if you end up in print with them before i do I'm gonna pinch you!:p J/k..j/k)

Bam I have to agree with life.. I know your camera is heavy.. but the shutter noise on mine has never spooked a deer.. and I've had em in as close about 15 -20 feet. Make sure that you have all the assorted beeps turned off, and your flash disabled..you don't want it popping up midstream..
Shoot raw so you can bring up the shadows and even out the lighting.. what's the fastest lens you have now?
