I had two does come in pretty quick right in front of me, I couldnt see them b/c the woods was so thick. The bigger doe was walking in front with the little one following close behind. They were both eating acorns and making their way towards the bean field behind me. I couldnt stand up b/c I thought the little one might see me and they would get spooked and run off. I sat there and watched as they got closer and closer, she got within about 5 yards and looked up and saw me. She got spooked and ran about 40 yards, but to my suprise turned right back around and walked right back at me. This time she turned off to my left a little bit and walked about 25 yards from me. I was ready by this time and was at full draw by the time she got where I could get an open shot. I let it rip and hit her a bit high, she ran about 10 yards and hit a tree leaving me a good blood trail to follow. I called a friend and he helped me track her through the woods. She zig zagged through the woods and across a road for probably 200 yards. We found her in a creek across the road from where I hunt. She weighed approx 140 lbs, and left me with some good backstraps and a bunch of tender meat.
