Does anyone know of a good map/chart with accurate boundaries of the Kaskaskia River FWA? I can see the boundaries on a large scale road map and the topos but I am just not confident on the accurate.

And if not the private ground is marked even better. LOL Joe 05-08-2007, 07:26 The USGS 1:24,000 scale maps have the boundaries marked well. You can look at them to get the "big picture" then look for the boundary signs when in the field. The maps are available at the USGS store online (www.usgs.gov). The maps you will need are: New Athens West, New Athens East, Redbud, Evansville, and Kaskaskia. The boundary is labeled with purple line symbology and the area is labeled "Kaskaskia River State Fish and Wildlife Area". Send me a PM if you need help ordering them. They are $6.00 a sheet. Also, if you stop in the site office at Baldwin Lake they have all the aerial photographs of KRSFWA with the boundaries marked on the wall. |
