Shot a few fish on the DesPlaines yesterday morning. The fish were ok, but the Pelicans were everywhere! I only started seeing these around here a few years ago, but the flock is getting real big. This pic is a small number of the ones out there. There were literally hundreds of them. Maybe they been scooping all the carp up on the flats, and thats why I havent been getting into large numbers of fish.

Nice shots! - You should enter the night shot in this months photo contest! That means the pelicans should be passing through here soon, unless I've missed them already.. seems like it's usually at the tail end of harvest...
