Fished Cedar Lake yesterday after work with Birdhunter1. Started fishing for crappie, but switched to bass shortly. We caught 20 or more in about 3 hours. Two fish were in the slot, everything else was under 14". Pretty good evening overall. Most of mine were caught on a Zoom Baby Brush Hog. I also caught several on a Rapala X-Rap. Birdhunter caught most of his on a red Culprit worm. We caught several fish that were still full of eggs, but from what I hear, most of the bass are spawning right now.

Alot of the ones I caught were on a little white pearl crankbait made by Norman Lures, I can't remember the name of it but I'll try and find it. I started using that about 5 years ago and it was te bomb then and has always seemed to work good on rocky shorelines on Kinkaid and Cedar.

Caught several crappie on it too, one of which was 14 1/2" long.

Also color code 85 works well, but not as good as the other in my opinion (though Jdawg disagrees).

JDawg/Birdhunter I fished cedar last weekend for crappie we caught four in a bout 6 hours of fishing hard . I like to think I am an ok crappie fisherman but we could not find them.

Neither of us know anything about crappie fishing... we simply drown a few minnows and get lucky once or twice every few years.
