On the way to check my trail cams I stopped and took a couple pictures of the tunnel.
Was a little foggy at the time.

It's part of the bike trail now, use to be a train tunnel many moons ago.
I'm guessing but would say its about 100 yards long.

Where you there when the cops was there yest? Or was this today.....we are looking for a house for sale with some land possibly and went by there....Didn't know what was going on....there was 2 cops there and three cars.....

I was there this morning.
Also this morning there was a tractor trailer in the ditch where you turn to get on tunnel hill rd. out side of Goreville.
Several state cops directing traffic.
Hmm looks familiar... except the one I know is back in PA... This is on the famed Penns Creek.

Oh my, I bet that was too much excitement for goreville-tunnel hill in one day...!:eek: lol...We went into a little resturant we never been before and they freaked! lol......Even though some of my family where born and raised in goreville, tunnel hill and stonefort...they didn't know that and where asking all types of questions. I said thank god, we have lived here all our life and know everyone. Otherwise if we where a transplant from somewhere we might have got hung on the square. Oh no, wait they don't have a square.lol.....I guess it would have to be the pole barn village building, next to the honda shop! :D
BIKE TRAIL
The whole trail goes from like harrisburg all the way down to the ohio river or something like that doesn't it??? I know I've seen it in several different places and they have __mile bike rides on it.
