If you've been dive-bombed by one.

I had one attack me when I was walking down the road at Anheiser Bush a few years ago. I held up my tool bag and the mokingbird glanced off of it and flew back. When I had to walk back, it kept its disntance. I was able to see it, and kept my tool bag ready just in case.

We have had mockingbirds in the woods around our home the past couple years too. They're somewhat noisy, but pleasant to have around.

As for the whipporwills, I miss those too.
