I'd have to agree with you there Funguy. Being a native Hoosier (not the St. Louis kind, but a real Hoosier), I knew of Lincoln's Indiana childhood. Somewhere I've even got a picture of me at his childhood home. This is a bit fancier a trip than Abe made having those fancy Merc outboards and all.

That would be fun in any boat. I think a steamboat cruise would be a blast!

Fun I saw that on the news.. I actually thought of you when they were talking about it! LOL I have always wanted to do a river steamboat cruise! My mom always wanted to do one too... as Mark Twain was her hero..she had everything ready and was going to book one for the following spring.. but unfortunately passed during the winter.. she was going to put in at the Twin Cities I think.. ( my sister lived there and they cooked up the plan LOL) so I guess that kind of makes me want to do it even more.
A river cruise is on my list of things to do/ places to go before I croak though!

That second option would be kind of a cross between a houseboat that you don't have to navigate and a floating campground.
