BOOYAH 05-01-2007, 11:07 not yet but i will be this fall. they look very good to me. hard to get rid of the muzzy's but I gotta try em. HIGHCOUNTRY 05-01-2007, 11:36 I've never tried them. They look like to many parts to be dealing with. Plus I shoot a 55grain broadhead from High Country archery and its hard to beat. I did see some feedback that rage on the basspro talk form. .. Brad 05-01-2007, 13:13 ill be trying the rage broadheads this fall. they look very impressing on some of the deer ive seen shot with them Bob 05-01-2007, 13:18 Are these the ones that sold out last year? Nobody could find em once the season started.??? flatlander 05-01-2007, 14:19 Are these the ones that sold out last year? Nobody could find em once the season started.??? Those are the ones, Bob. Seems some were having problems with the 3 blade but not the 2, if I remember correctly. If you cant get them try Slick Trick broad heads. AWESOME B-head, put a hole in a deer like you wont believe. http://www.slicktrick.net/ Red 05-01-2007, 18:15 Me and my pro staff use Rage here is a picture of one shot last season by one of my staff in Nebraska http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/8231/scotts1552px1.jpg I have a closer pic of the entry and exit points (holes ;) would be more like it) I will post it when i find them Bob 05-01-2007, 18:17 BIG deer. NICE! flatlander 05-01-2007, 18:46 What is that rapped around the base of both antlers, looks light green ? Post the hole pic's red. Red 05-01-2007, 18:49 I am looking for the pics cant seem to find them yet, the holes rage leaves are huge and that deer was down 30 ft from where it was hit. Bowtechman 05-01-2007, 21:38 hey flatlander, slick tricks look alot like Muzzys. im headed to AK in June and have shot Muzzys for four years, they kill deer but the blood trails not that great. the Rage Broadheads seem to put more red on the ground. should i use Muzzys on bear or buy the rage and shoot them at the black beasts? Red 05-01-2007, 21:55 To me rage are better then muzzy cause of the way a rage works. when the rage just barely hits the blades expand so your getting the full extension of the blades before it goes threw the animal unlike others flatlander 05-02-2007, 07:13 hey flatlander, slick tricks look alot like Muzzys. im headed to AK in June and have shot Muzzys for four years, they kill deer but the blood trails not that great. the Rage Broadheads seem to put more red on the ground. should i use Muzzys on bear or buy the rage and shoot them at the black beasts? If you are using an outfitter I would check with them, some dont allow mechanical B-heads. At least thats what I've always heard I used Muzzy's before I changed over to Slick Tricks, I like the ST's better. The guy I will be hunting bear with has Rage & ST's in his quiver. He knows someone that is good friends with the owner of Rage b-heads. From what I understand they are from the same area of Mn. Gary Bartlow 06-09-2007, 13:02 I used them last season the 3 blade ones and i absolutely love them.I shot a doe that was real spooky. When I released she started to run so it hit her FAR back. When I saw the arrow hit I got that real sick feeling that one gets on a bad hit, even though this one was not operator error. The deer ran about 30 feet and fell over dead. When I got down the blood on the ground was unbelievable. The arrow hit the deer in the back leg cutting the femoral artery hitting bone and everything else complete pass thru. The hole was freakin huge it looked like the deer was shot with a slug. The only thing I didn't like was that when you put them in your quiver the blades "deploy".So for a quick follow up shot you have to look at the head before you nock it. |
