Thought I would show you trail cams guy's this new board that is out.
It uses X10 sensors (cheapest on ebay) to power up and then trigger a picture or start video if you have a video trail camera.
I just updated one of my video trail camera's with one.
My home brew (still) digital camera's have never had a problem getting a picture before the critter left but the video cams take 5 seconds which is forever in the outdoors.
Here are a few pic's.

X10 sensors (approx $30 TYD for 3 from ebay)
I added the mounts to them.

The R/F board
The 2 white wires are the antenna's

Ext view with antenna skins.

Here is a video that would have been totally different if the R/F board would have been available back then.
Rather then just seeing a tail and hearing the buck grunting I would have got to see the buck/rack.

Thats pretty cool I guess I need to go over to those boards to see whats going on now. I stopped building when I got up to 10 cams. I have too many and they work so well I never need to make others. :) The RF is very cool though. Can you use more than one per camera??? I was thinking about if that is the case I could use about three in a general area to catch the critter if they approach frommany directions.

If your asking about the X10 sensor's yes you can use as many as you like.
I have 4 I am going to use with this video unit.
3 on 3 different trails that come together.
When the deer walks past any of the 3 trails/sensors it will power on the video camera then when the deer gets to and triggers the 4th sensor near the cam the cam will instantly start recording.
This board also works with still cams but like I said earlier I have never had a problem getting the deer/animal on a still picture but these slow video cams you almost had to have something there to get them to stop. Cant use bait/ feeder or mineral blocks in IL so this new board will help getting them on video.
