Anyone else ever stay at Ferne Cliffe for any deer seasons?

Also has anyone ever drawn a site tag to firearm hunt there, and, if so, how was it?

Have never hunted it but have hunted a small private area not to far from it.

Sorry no help.

Actually that isn't too far from me... and with all the good reviews I think I want to visit...

Is there fishing on site or nearby?

I WAS JUST THERE AGAIN......
Ferne Clyffe has a small lake inside the park. They also have trout in there as well. Lake of Egypt is really close about 5 miles north from Ferne Clyffe State Park...
When you get off I57 at exit 45 make a right! (If you make a left you go to crab orchard lake )....there is an adult book store called the LION'S DEN there. you will be on {route 148}...then 148 tuns into {route 37} and you go through a little town called goreville and then you see the park entrance on the right. Loe is right off of 37 and 148 you can see the smoke stack when you get off I57 there. It is actually pretty easy to find. Camping is nice there as well....small campground on top and tent down closer to the lake.....we see turkey everytime we are there as well as a fox alot of times....deer are also usually around. and good ol coons... There is info online about it......

When you going Bob ?

That place is just a couple miles from where I have cams in Goreville.
If you take Goeville exit off 57 you will drive right by the road to get to my cams.

ok that's what I was thinking cause we are exit 45 so I knew it couldn't be much further........ But we just take Route 37 straight into there..and most other people do too.....

Of course we just took back way on Rt 45 to get to Harrisburg, through stonefort, and leford yest. where alot of people would just take Rt 13. But alot of these back roads cuts the time in half. And hey I found the elk farm by the way....It is only about 5 miles from me the back way to it.......It is on Drake Rd. I think but didn't have time to go yest.

If you go down 37 to Cypress you'll go right my stompin grounds just before you get to Cypress. Try the Chuck Wagon Saloon in Cypress for a (I'm an idiot for swearing)(I'm an idiot for swearing)(I'm an idiot for swearing)(I'm an idiot for swearing) fine steak dinner!
