Actually these were taken southeast of Paducah. These are all free roaming Russians visiting a bait pile laid out for them over the course of one night. With them that close swimming the river is not that far out there and we do have a small resident population that is growing and will continue to grow in Southern Illinois.

I once heard an old timer say he seen a boat go down on the river and it was carrying hogs. He said most of them slit there own throats cause there little legs where going so fast and just the right distance to catch them in the right spot. IDK if its true or not but thats what he said.

I saw a show one time that said they were spreading incredibly fast. They would eventually cover the Lower 48.

Yes they are shooting them but will never get rid of them point blank.

These hogs are the result of an outfitter back in 2000 having a livestock semi-trailer load trapped down south and released on his no fence property. Needless to say 8 years later they are covering up 3 counties and expanding into the neighboring counties also.

Not only could I save you some drive time but a ton of money in fees. If anyone wants to hunt hogs PM me. I am recovering from foot surgery right now so bounce back and forth with pain killers in and out of reality.

Is there a set season for hogs in KY? How much for an out of state license, and how many would you be allowed to harvest?

Out of state liscense for KY is 10 per day. No season and no limits on the porkers. The small ones are what I go after, better eating.

If you're looking to put a group together, I'm interested. It's still quite a few miles for me, but it could be very worth my while. Wouldn't have to buy pork for quite.
