I know it's out of season but someone used one of these poles to get a trail camera up near a hole in a tree to get pictures of an owl inside the tree.
That got me wondering if any of you have tried one for birds ?

we used 3 last year and part of this year for snows. work very well for snows. always seemed to get the birds in for a closer look when we put em out. but they are very noisy. 8-15 mph wind they look good. winds higher than that they get stupid doing barrel rolls and too much flip flopping. made the switch to the sillosock flyers. no noise and built a little different so they don't get squirrely in high winds. don't know how they work on canadas but i imagine they would work on ducks pretty good.
