Hello,

I'm going to the White river on the first weekend of May. Wife and I rented a cabin at the River of Life resort.

I've never used a fly rod before, but I just bought a cheap one to get started with, and I rigged it with 6wt floating line.

Hopefully, I'll be able to catch some of those big ones!!

Bullman,

You are are going to love the River of Life Farm (ROLF). I have been there a few times Myron McKey is one standup gentleman.

I do need to inform you that it is not the White River at ROLF. The actual name is the North Fork of the White (NFoW). And the fish is this river do not grow to the size of the one on the the actual White River in AR. The best person to contact to get the lastest on what to use is a gentelman by the name of Brian Wise (just tell him FFM sent you, he know me). Also here is link to another forum dedicated to the fishing on the NFoW. Enjoy.

Thanks for the info. Myron sure did impress me when I made the reservations. I'm glad you clarified the river for me. I sure enough thought I was going to the White River. :)

Thanks for the info, and I'll post an update when I get back to let you know how I did

The only time I've been to the White River is viewing it from the Bull Shoals Dam. What a view especially from a tractor trailer. This dam huge.
