Went out this morning with a buddy. Had a calling contest with a hen, think the gobbler was with her, she flew down and headed off the property. My buddy had football practice and had to leave at 7:30. I headed for the other farm, saw three in a bean field from the road. Set up and called, the hen came by at about eighty yards but the other two, one I know was a gobbler, never came by. Rain moved back in now, try again tomorrow.

I'm hoping to get out tomorrow as well, my buddy didn't wake up this mornin so i could go out. lol

Going to get on his a$$$ today to make sure he gets up since I'm going huntin on his buddies property I kinda NEED him lol. The weather should be a lil better tomorrow as well.

And thanks for the advice on the call bob. I got the knight &hale call and it sounds awesome, and was on clearence at wallyworld too lol.

I drove around for awhile after shooting mine and saw quite a few birds from the road. Only counted about 4 trucks in my whole area.

we chased three jakes most of Sun then found out a guy shot one out of that group last week. every thing else we saw was hens. school today back out Tues.
