Seems like a good reel for the price. Put it on a 6 1/2 foot Abu Conolon medium action rod. Seems like a good setup so far but I've only used it 3 times. Other than that, I've got some 10 year old Quantum baitcasters I've kept working like a dream with reel magic. I always keep a light spinning rod rigged for crappie in the boat too. I mainly fish minnow swim baits and flukes for bass so when I catch the occasional crappie I've got my crappie rig ready and waiting because where theres one crappie, there's usually about 50 more. It might have been because I need a certain size... |
