Hi, my southern Illinois outdoorsmen. As I live in the North Central part of the state I am extremely interested in your mushroom hauls as we have yet to get the necessary heat we need for the morels! Probably next week. We will be having the Illinois State Morel Mushroom Festival, May 4,5, & 6 so come up and have a good time. If the weather hasn't fried them all by then I'll give you some pointers on where you might be able to find them around here. Also I will be having a booth so stop by and chat. As I am also an avid fisherman, ice fishing too! I know you don't have that, much down there, it can be very productive. I also do all the regular fishing, crappie, smallmouth, catfish, etc...
