Went out for my first time with my buddy on the Meramec River near Fenton, MO. We got 15 total - 13 silvers and 2 gar. I got the first, the most, and the biggest of the day. Only thing my buddy had on me was he got both longnose.

Also saw this little one and its mom swimming across the river. We got kind of close before I could get my camera out and the doe took off into the flooded trees. This thing was close enough I could have picked it right out of the water. We backed off and it found its mom and we saw them swim off through a flooded field.

Overall, I'd say it was worth the $7 one day MO fishing license.
