Sweet! And one less of those bigheads polluting our rivers. You're a pretty good shot hitting those skinny gar. Good show.

Great shooting, need to shoot a few more of those bigheads though!!!!:)
you figured that out purdy quick Duke! good shootin!
Man that is a Blast... I learned a lot today. I didn't know how the Bigheads swim because usually when I see them they're going over my boat or I'm ducking them. They seem to have a pattern swimming right now. They haven't started jumping yet, but I think there getting ready to. Once I took my first Gar things started to click..I can see this becoming a great sport and good practice during the summer.
WAY TO GO!!!! You are into em. What body of water were you "hunting"?
Nice shooting! That first pic is how those bigheads look best.
You're hooked now.

Carp, gar..you name it are flopping a everywhere in the seep water, back water etc..man back over by Modoc Ferry yesterday all I could think of was Bob and Adam would sure being having fun here today!
AWESOME BigDuke! I am jealous! My plan was to hit the river when it came back to normal...that may be a while...so for you seasoned vets, where is a good place for a rookie to hit? I'm up here is Madison County near Edwardsville...
Nice shoot'n, I have the same setup. You have to watch those warhead tips. I have had about 10 big carp/buffalo spin off till I switched points.
Prairie State cropped my Labs head out of the Picture and it seems to be hazy...O well, below is the pic I sent.
