Well it's here again! The original Illinois State Championship Bowfishing Tournament.

June 14-15th, Illinois State Championship Shoot. Held again on beautiful Lake Shelbyville. Home of 55"+ gar, nice sized buffalo, too many carp and the occasional 40lb+ grass-carp.
BAA Sanctioned. Starts at 11am on Saturday, ends at 7am on Sunday. Dinner provided at 5pm on Saturday. Big 25 format. Big fish pot. Additional prize for most carp taken. Fish disposal provided.

With it being a Big-25 format, it could be anybody's game. You don't have to shoot the most fish, so 1- and 2-man teams are just as competitive as 3-man teams. Grab your buddies, your kids or just come by yourself. It's always a great time and it gets bigger every year. That means that there's more people to get into the big-fish pot, and so there's more to win. ;) Plus, we have the biggest and best prize-tables around.

Come on out and meet some great people, shoot a bunch of fish and experience Lake Shelbyville's great bowfishing opportunities. I first fished this tourney at our very first shoot here 4 years ago and it's been my favorite ever since. Hope to see you there.

Less than a week and this one will be in the history books! I'm hoping the weather will cooperate.

Should we start another guess the winner contest?

Hope to see everyone there.

Kendal & Christine
It was good to see you two again.
Sorry I only had time for a short visit with everyone. Hope you found some fish to shoot at Sat. night.
Hope everything went well. :)

PS. I did just see where Lake Shelbyville did crest yesterday & is on the way down, slowly.
A couple ft. higher & even the high water boat ramps, would have been underwater.

It was good to see you there Lynn. I wish you could have got some fishing in too.
I know what you mean about the short visit. I always go away from these events wishing I gotten to spend more time talking with someone, usually several someones. ;)
