I have just got into bowfishing myself. It is a blast. I shot several trash fish at Rend on Monday. The biggest, a buffalo went 16.5 lbs. The carp was 7lbs.

OZ, bass pro has the good AMS kits with 2 arrows? I didnt think they had any in the store, only online. What did you pay for it? $150? Cabelas website has it listed for $130 but I dont know if they have them in stock. I work right there in Maryland Heights, (just past BassPro and Cabelas exits on 270) so I was actually thinking about picking one up tomorrow after work.

Cody, you're in luck only if you're left handed. Both BPS and Cabelas have the kits in the store. Cabelas had the lefty only, so I went to BPS and they had one right handed set up. I paid $135 for the deal. Now, BPS has the reels alone for $75 and the rest for like $19. Then Cabelas has the AMS arrows set up and they are around $20 ready to shoot. You would have to run to both stores but you would end up paying the same amount as the kit if you buy the components separately.

I dont really care about the kit, I really only need the arrows w/ slide and the retriever. Your last post could be taken differnet ways, so let me try to understand...Basspro has the right handed retriever but no arrows and Cabelas has the arrows but only a left handed retriever kit?

Here you go bdw. Nice shooting. Were those from the lake or the spillway?

Thanks for the help Life. These all came out of the main lake. The spillway is a little dangerous with all the extra water around the rocks.

All that was missing from your post was the left bracket '[' at the beginning of your link for posting the picture. Glad to help bdw.

BPS Does have the Muzzy arrow though...but I don't remeber if they had the slide deal. I know Cabelas had the full arrow ready to go. And BPS had the reel only for sale where Cabelas did not. Hope that helped.

I went out to basspro after work yesterday and picked up one of the AMS retriever pro kits. They had 4 right handed kits and 1 lefty, so they might have gotten some in after OZ went the other day. There were also quite a few different complete arrows. Seems funny putting a $150 kit on a bow I got for $20. Hopefully I can get out there soon and try it out now. Thanks for the help OZ.
