I've never coon hunted but I have always liked the looks of those dogs and the howl they let out. Must be something about a redbone but I like their color and just their appearance.

How do ya coon hunt around here? Won't most people call the law on ya?
Coonhunting around here is alot easier than people think. A lot of the farmers are glad to allow you to coonhunt. The coons get in their sheds, equipment, haylofts, and a couple of coon families can come into a cornfield when the corn isn't hard yet and do a lot of damage. I get told yes a lot more than i get told no when i ask to coonhunt. I have several large farms i have permission to coonhunt on. The sound of the dogs, and the good dog work is very addicting. I have 4 redbones and my wife has a walker.

Good lookin Pups!!! Lordy there just isn't much prettier than a good looking hound..and there's not much that makes a prettier sound either...
I just love the hounds...all the varieties..walkers, Black and tans..redbones....and when they have an extra pretty voice..well..it can just make you feel all is right with the world..
Need some pics of Big Pappy's bloodhound..she's goregous too and has the voice of an angel..Cooner I think you'd like her too!
June looks like she's thinking.."okay do I load up now??"
Here's a pic of my wife's dog "copperhead"

Of all the hunting I have never done I have never coon hunted or turkey hunted. My brother in law's were supposed to take me coon hunting this past season (down in SE Misery where they live) but it never worked out, every night I was available it was 100 mph winds, ice storms or monsoons.
I have never been either. I did go check traps with a guy one time. That was pretty cool.
