i see the ones in the last two pics alot around dead trees but i wouldnt eat any of them

They're called devils urns those black ones. Don't know the 1st one. The others look like typical shelf fungi.

Didn't plan on eating any of them ....Still trying to learn more about them first.....thanks......

This looked like a mushroom but couldn't tell for sure.......It was up on the tree.....

Also found this on a tree it was huge!.......Is this just fungi?

I think that is that trees "flower"

It did ome off a evergreen out back........I just couldn't figure out what it was so I broke it open........I thought maybe it was a weird fruit or something......I had no idea..
gus, that tan lookin thing looked like some type of fungi as well.......It was actually pretty thick....and it was up high.....it is where you told me to go.....

I always heard if the bugs are eating them we can eat them . If it makes the bugs sick I quess it will make us sick as well.

see...we need a mycology society around here....Bam Bam..invest in a good field guide...or Mushrooms Demystified, or one of the DK Smithsonian handbooks...mine are worn around the edges, and I still have a hard time figuring some out....
We always called devils urns cowbells...after seeing these..yep girlfriend you and I need to go play in the woods! We can search out the summer shrooms!

Yea, Im clueless........Alot of those where taken real close to my house. We have em come up in the yard...

it's so dry here there is no fungus around...I can't wait for the rains, cause I know there will be a big flush right after....

ok, so Im in the backyard and couldn't resist going in to check again.....couldn't find much but this lil ol one and those turkey tails......Ran into one of the neighbors and she said oh they just found a copperhead( which could have been something else) out here the other day you should have seen it. I didn't ask......I just thought lovely in shorts and sandels....:)
