Had 24 at Horseshoe Sunday. Never had 2 by the same brush. It was slow but worth it. All were between 10 and 14 inches. Had a channel cat about 10 lbs to the boat but he broke off when I tried to get him in the boat. Was a fun fight on a 12 ft jigging rod.

We haven't fished Horseshoe in Madison Co since we found out it was a favorite dumping ground for bodies from StL.

Haven't tried Horseshoe in Alexander Co yet. Do I hear 'road trip'?

Don't know if you've ever been down here or not, but the lake is full of Cypress and Tupelo trees. It's tough to find em. Water 3-4ft deep is common. Kinda shady though and can get back in the trees and out of the wind. Real pretty place. Good Luck.

It'sa 10 hp lake life and the cypress can be kinda wooly. I just drug my boat down to Lowe Monday for about $1500 in repairs due to high winds pushing my boat into the cypress trees.

In that case we won't be putting our boat in there. Mrs Life gets very nervous any time there's anything in the water that might bang up her precious. After all, she's the one who picked it out and bought it.
