This is located west of Rt. 159 and Millstadt. It looks like a very old strip mine and a very cool spot to fish. Anybody ever fish there??:confused:

Years ago. Steep slopes, all I remember catching was a few small cats.

I used to fish there when it first opened, around '81, used to catch some good largemouth bass and bluegill there, I even caught A really nice white bass there, once, don't have any idea how it got in there, I think they stocked the lake originally with some walleye and northerns, that white must of slipped into the net from the hatchery, or maybe took a ride on a birds foot from another lake.

it's an excellent spot to load up on CHIGGERZ! if'n yore intrested.

I drive by there several times a week but never have the time to stop due to that filthy four letter word...WORK..:mad:

Had a guy come up to me at the hospital last Wednesday and ask if I'd ever fished there. He said he was catching crappies there. We were thinking about trying it Saturday. From the aerial photo it looks like a strip mine.

There are a couple smaller lakes there. I fished there once and had a cold/wet slow day. My Grandpa used to go there alot and did pretty well on cats and crappie/bluegill.

I fished it last year and didnt catch hardly any bass, lakes are crystal clear and i think they cost $6
