Just wondering if anyone was headin out next week after a long beard. i am lucky enough to have land owner tags so i get to go every season although this next week might be tough with the cold weather coming in.

I got 2nd in St. Clair, and expect to bag a bird. I got 5th in Madison, heck it'll be Summer by then...

i got st. clair. we hunt the little muddy creek area just outside of st. libory. there are really getting to be a lot of birds out there, heck just today i saw 5 hens and a nice longbeard in my front yard. im ready for monday to come around

I got williamson 2nd season.......I don't know if i can take the shotgun blast by then or not. If not i atleast hope i can walk out an sit with my buddy or sumthing an let him shoot it for me. Its my first year with a tag and hear so many good things about it that I hate to miss it. But if nothing else i guess i can just gather more gear until next year lol.

i got 2nd Williamson and 5th Union. been hearing a few in the morrning, dad saw 6 in my clover pach with two deer last night.

i went out this morning to listen for birds and heard 6 different toms alongs with several jakes. i was surprised to hear so much with it being so cold

I was out last weekend with a client hunter(13yr old girl) for the youth hunt.We had incredible action both days, unfortunately she missed a really nice tom with a 10-12 inch beard.Both days we had 15 to 25 turkeys in the field working, but many were hanging with the hens.We hunted at my hunt club in freeburg (st. clair county) and I have 4th season for st. clair plus a few client hunts for 3rd & 4th seasons at the club.

the cold weather shouldnt hurt them much, i saw some strutters today on the way to work. Hunted second season last year and shot a bird around 11:30 that was gobblin his head off, and it was really windy and cold. I 've got first season Pope,fifth season Randolph and huntin Missourri and Kansas in between.GOOD LUCK!!:)

If you didn't apply for a tag back in Dec, you aren't going (legally)

You can use either weapon for turkey.
