Here is why the mushrooms are so early.

Record mean temperature for month of march set at Paducah ASOS...

Strong high pressure had settled across the southeast United States
for several days during March, 2007. This allowed persistent
southerly winds to develop over western Kentucky... bringing
unseasonably warm temperatures across the area.

The monthly average temperature for Paducah Kentucky during March
2007 was 56.7 degrees... making this March the all-time warmest March
on record. This temperature broke the old warmest March by 2.5
degrees. The previous record was 54.2 degrees set in 1973. The mean
temperature for March is 47.6 degrees.

The five day period of March 25th through the 29th... a new record
high was set on 4 of the 5 days and on one day the record was tied.
And on the 22nd and 23rd... both morning low temperatures tied or set
a new record for a maximum low temperatures.

Global Warming....... Heat Waves And Unusally Warm Weather.

With Continued Warming We Will Have:

Diease Spreading
Plants And Animals Range Shifts And Population Changes
Earlier Spring Arrival
Downpours

As You Noticed Alot Of This Has Already Started......

They Have A New Movie Out Global Warming But I Haven't Had A Chance To Rent It Yet.......everyone I Know That Seen It Said It Is Really Good........

Take all you can for what it is. Mostly political rhetoric. I like to read both sides of the argument. The movie is interesting, and gets you thinking, but it is only one side of the story. I'm still solidly on the fence on the global warming issue.

On another note about the world ending, did anyone see the report on the bee hive numbers dwindling? If the bees die, the world will run out of food in 4 years they say??? Who knows? See below for a good article...
