Just thought I'd throw this out..it's turning out to be a pretty good year for the shrooms. We are lucky...lucky in more ways than we realize...

Here's my challenge for all the shroomers here...

Look around you neighborhood/community..I'm sure we all know somebody that used to shroom and can't anymore ...for what ever reason..age, disability, illness, fraility..
TAKE THEM A MESS OF SHROOMS!
I took some to an older fellow here in town last night..years ago he would have been hauling them in by the boatload...I swear..I thought he was going to cry..he called em beautiful..and told me some good shrooming tales and secrets..:)

I hope when I'm 80 and can't climb hills or shroom anymore, some nice young person brings me a mess for supper!

Just think how buggy we all get when we miss a day shrooming..what if we were unable to go at all?

So, let's get out there and start our own SILO Mushroom Meals on Wheels...LOL

Bob and I dropped some off for a fella the other day. Not a pound or anything, but enough for a nice meal. I'm with ya on the karma thing G. I just turned 31 and my knees are already limiting where and what I can do.

My inlaws live next to an old couple who can't get out there anymore (in Michigan) we hunt shrooms and deer on there property, and ALWAYS prepare and serve them some Veni and shrooms every year. They are a great couple and the husband was supposed to be dead many times now. He gets told months everytime he goes to the Dr. and that has been going on for almost 2 years. They are more than appreciative that we give them some of the take. The old man will tell more stories about hunting/shrooming than one could ever think possible, and it is great to hear the stories. I know how ya feel Adam, I am 26, broke my hip and am very limited on where I can go and what I can do sometimes!

Share the harvest, and you will be repaid 10 fold... maybe not in shrooms themselves, but it WILL come back around.

I was suspicious, that very few here needed to be reminded..but it never hurts! LOL

This is the first year in 7 years that I haven't just gotten out of the hospital witha major relapse when the shrooms started...
I think that's part of why I am having such a hard time staying out of the woods this year..I can actually do it!!! Unaided!!!
I was sooo lucky..a couple of close friends made sure those years that I did get to go a least a couple of times..a couple of years we wrestled the walker through the woods..and couple of years they put mudder tires on an old scooter.. we were a sight but we managed...bless those boys hearts..

Not just shrooms but everything else too!!......even if it's lending a hand to someone.....I really believe that.....:D

I got the kids addicted so they will hunt when I'm to old to hunt. Thats how I was taught. I'm still paying my off my "student loans".

Fun, Mrs Life keeps asking me how you know so many places to hunt morels. I keep telling her you were taught when you were young and have been hunting them pretty much all your life. Your folks did some good teaching.
