Lone Elk Is Located In Eureka Mo (close To Six Flags In St Louis)....it Is Pretty Neat If You Go In The Morning Or In The Evening....it Is Free To Drive Through And They Have Areas That You Can Get Out.....they All Roam Free Through The Park.....i Think Someone On Here Actually Suggested It Once (maybe Flatlander Or Gus) Not Sure......they Have Bison, Elk, Whitetails,turkeys, Geese, And Birds In There.......there Is Also A Pond That They Go Down Too.......they Are Not Scared At All.....some Were Right Next To The Car...google It And It Should Come Up With More Info For You......

Oh cool! Thanks, Bam! I'd heard of some elk tours in Eastern KY, but I didn't know anything about this one! I'd love to see elk. When we were in the Smokies, I looked and looked, saw six bears, but not a single elk!

There's another close one chy..........the lone elk is pretty neat though......and it's free...just drive through.......they also had deer and something else buffalo I think?? IDK now.......the elk got pretty darn close to the car.....We were in a hurry as usual though and I only had a min to snap snap but I would like to go back next trip to STL........

And I gotta go to this one down here too........

there are a couple of elk farm over here..but they aren't set up to drive through ..they raise the elk for the meat..but I may have to go wheedle my way in..LOL
The elk park is kind of out there by the Wolf Sanctuary..close enough that I would try to visit both places on the same day...
I'm pretty sure we're going to the tiger sanctuary in St. Gen ( well out on B road..) today...hopefully I'll get some good pics from there..

I'll try Bam..but it's their fall festival..so it may be crowded, and I don't know what kind of shot I'll end up with, having to work around the enclosures etc...but surely I can figure something out..LOL

The lonk elk farm was really nice right at sunset........We only seen those elks and a few deer though.......
There is a place you can even get out and have a picnic.......I was like..ummmmmmm no.....lol.....

You can't visit the wolf sanctuary unless your with a tour and you have to have an apppointment. Tried that. Lone elk is an easy trip and is nice sun. ride. If you wanna see elk in SI, there are some in Ruma on St. Leos RD.
