7:37 PM http://www.siloutdoors.com/s.gif Hey there. New to the area and new to the boards here. Has anybody had any experience with the Peabody River King FWA? I'm looking for some bowhunting ground and this is close to my house.
Any tips on this place or any other place where a bowhunter new to the area could go are welcome.

1:22 PM http://www.siloutdoors.com/s.gif You can go to Carlyle, IL at the Hazlet State park area. They have archery. I got a small 8 point there a couple of years ago. bob--o (http://www.siloutdoors.com/members/profile/584206/bob--o.htm)

Just wondering where you may be? I live about 5 minutes from Peabody, and bow hunt there. I've killed a few deer out of there. It does get hunted, but there are plenty of deer. The East sub-unit is only open to deer hunting until Nov.1 then it becomes a waterfowl rest area until March 1. It also figures that is where all the crops are as well. You can hunt the West sub-unit the rest of the season. Plenty of oppotunity, I know about every square inch of the place, so if you have any questions feel free to ask away. Some of the buck pictures on here are from peabody... Just so you know... MidwestJ (http://www.siloutdoors.com/members/profile/610451/MidwestJ.htm)
