Well kinda went out for about 3 hours, and managed one little gray. Better than a shutout, but not nearly enough to eat either.
Soon. Soon.
I think that is the 1st report I've seen form St Clair Co.:p

Found 6 this morning. 4 big yellows, and 2 grays. Not the mother load, but enough for a taste.
That 1st one isn't the one in my avatar, but the ones I found today look like tat one. Nice and big.
let's see sOme bigs of the big yellows!!!
FORGOT the pics...DOH! my dad was leaving for PA this morning, so we went out early, I boxed em up for him and he left for the airport.
I'll get more....
You just eat the mushrooms raw? Or do you cook them with something? and if so what is a good way to cook them?
i would think eaten them raw would taste terrible. my favorite way is to bread them in flour with salt and pepper and just deep fry them. i also like putting them in aluminum foil with butter, salt, pepper and garlic powder and putting them on a low heat on the grill. how does everyone else do them
I make a mean morel gravy that I put on deer steaks. MMMmm. I'll post the recipe from home.
I get lots, and dry most. I put em in spaghetti, deer burgers, omelettes, whatever...fried is the old standby though.
