tiny tiny barely out of the ground dog pecker...still so new it hadn't even fully unfolded or darkened up...and 5 hours of scouring the hillsides...

The good news is that the south facing hillsides are looking good and other fungi are popping out in respectble numbers...wood ears, new turkey tails, orange brains..
Did stumble on a boatload of little browns ( toadstool variety of little browns..not to be confused LOL) in one of my patches ..so that gives me hope that in just a day or two the morels will be marching forward...
more pics to come of the other spring stuff that's looking good in the woods..

Did you find any morels or any other edible ones Bam?
Starting Sat. the best we will have so far.
60 deg constant for 5 or 6 days. Not getting down past the 40deg mark at night. According to weather.com

No but we really didn't look that much G...........:rolleyes:
I got a few more of those little devil's but that's it for shroom......other than regular old fungi......

went out today walked a total about 3 miles, no shrooms but found 2 antler sheds, better than nothing

Just regular orange brains and shelf fungi......I really didn't look like I should have...:o
low 30's this am will slow things down. I think a week or so yet.

if the weather ever cooperates...between it getting so cold and the fact that half the yella bottoms are underwater..I'm rapidly losing faith in this being agood season...:(

I noticed your location is in Turkey. Are you in the military? How long will you be there? The think I miss most from my military days was getting to live overseas. I never got to Turkey or anywhere in Europe though.
If we do find any shrooms this year we'll be sure and eat some for you.
