All built with 3/4 inch PVC and 2 swim noodles. If I was gonna redo it I'd put some T's in the noodles and integrate them into the frame. For now they are just zip tied on. I folded the noodles in half, and slid a section of PVC into each half to add rigidity to the noodle. I believe I put 8" of drop on it.
I attach it to my canoe with the same straps I tie it down on my truck, so no chance of forgetting them. Notice the cross bars; they way the straps are on, it can't slide side to side. I also think it's about 18" wide. HEY! I needed easy access to my cooler!!!http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/image/s4.gif
I think you can buy all the parts for under $20.
