About a year or so ago I went to beaver lake at river king and saw a bunch of christmas trees piled up next to the ramp. I was told by the owner of the bait shop between freeburg and new athens that the site super threw them in the lake and he has a map of the location of them. I have been trying to get ahold of him when I remember about it but I still haven't been able to and I went to river king last weakend but he wasn't there so I was wondering if anyone had a map of there location on the lake. My e-mail is moally13@yahoo.com. I went to river king in the fall a couple of times when the water was low and still never saw any christmas trees so I guess there pretty deep.

Moally, some of those lakes do drop off pretty deep. Knowing where those old christmas trees are could save a lot of searching for crappies and other fish.

At beaver Lake they are place right off the bank on the left side. I ask the super a few months ago. Just call and he will tell you each spot. I now where there are a few but yes they did sink a bunch...

Highcountry, are there any maps that show the names for each lake or pond? The only map I found online just designates them as lakes or ponds but doesn't say which one they are.

I don't believe there is a map with their names, however, all the lakes have signs with their names on them.

Which lake is Beaver Lake so I know before driving down? I thought they used to have a map with the names of the lakes, but the one I find online doesn't.
there are maps of the whole place with names and locations of each lake or pond as soon as you drive in on the right with all of the other info

Thanks Brad. I used to have one from there but misplaced it some time back. I'll have to pick up another one next time we're in there.

I'll check to see if my park map give the names of each lake. If so I'll see if I can scan it in and post it..

Thanks Highcountry.
Caught a 15 inch 2 pounder today. It looks kinda small with me holding it.
